Age of Consent

By placing an order at Essence-Boutique, you declare that you are of the appropriate legal age to purchase the adult toys which is 18. Minors (under the age of 18) are prohibited to purchase any products of a sexual nature from Essence-Boutique, however can purchase lingerie and clothing. If we discover that you are not legally entitled to order certain goods, we will not be obliged to complete the order. 


At Essence-Boutique we want you to feel secure and protected in your relationship with us. Firstly, because you are secure and protected, but also because this makes a much more enjoyable shopping experience with us. Here’s a lot of information about what’s often called Terms & Conditions (T&Cs). Some of it we are legally obliged to include. If you are uncertain about your rights under these T&Cs, or you want any explanation about them please contact us before you place your order.  We are advised to advise you to print a copy of these Terms & Conditions for your reference.


The Essence-Boutique guarantee

At Essence-Boutique, we want you to be 100% satisfied with you purchase from us. We offer a full refund or exchange within 14 days of your purchase, if you are not 100% happy. This is 14 days from the day your order was placed, not received. Please see delivery and returns section for more information about this. If your products develop a fault, we offer a full refund or exchange for up to 12 months on certain products and brands.

Any faults thought have occurred due to misuse, products not cared for properly or deliberately damaged, will not be eligible for a refund or exchange. Essence-Boutique has the right to refuse a refund if it is thought a fault or defect has occurred due to any of the above reasons. 


Privacy & Security

We will never sell, or give any information about you or your orders to any company. To stop receiving any e-mails or to un-subscribe to our newsletter, just email us and we will remove your name from our contact list. If we need to contact you we will where possible do so by email. If no email is available we will do so by telephone. Should we have to leave a message it will only ever be to call us back. Your goods will be sent to you in plain packaging without any reference to Essence-Boutique.

We may use your e-mail address to contact you for marketing purposes, although you can opt out of this if you wish to.


Terms & Conditions (T&Cs)

In order to comply with the European Union (EU) Directive on Distance Selling, you must agree to our T&Cs before your order can be processed. They govern any contract for sale that we jointly enter into and tell you the rights and obligations you have. As a consumer you may have other statutory rights granted by law which are not affected by these T&Cs. 


Purchasing from us

There is no minimum order value. By placing your order you are offering to buy the goods and permitting us to use your personal details for the purposes of supplying goods (including passing your details onto couriers and other subcontractors). You may request that your details are removed from our system by emailing or writing to us. We are not obliged to supply the goods to you until we have confirmed acceptance of your order and this is when the contract is made. Your payment will be taken prior to sending the goods ordered. All payments must be cleared before your item is dispatched. You do not own the goods until we have received payment in full. All prices and offers are subject to change and availability. Errors and omissions accepted (for example if we accidentally sell at below our cost price).


Payment Methods

We accept Visa, MasterCard, Amex, Switch, UK Maestro, UK Electron, UK Delta online and cheques by mail. To redeem a discount coupon please put your discount code in the promo code box whilst placing your order. We use an address verification service that requires the billing address you provide to be the same as the one on file for your credit or debit card. If these addresses do not match your transaction may be declined. All prices are shown in £ sterling and include any VAT applicable. We reserve the right to change any advertised prices at any time but will contact you regarding any price change to give you the option of amending and processing your order or cancelling it.


Order Confirmations

You will receive confirmation of your order by email. Please check that the details contained in this email are correct. If there are any mistakes, please let us know immediately. Your confirmation email is neither an invoice nor a formal acceptance of your order. Invoices are sent with the goods. If we are unable to fulfil part or all of your order (due to having sold out for example), or if there is an error in your order, we will advise you as soon as possible. If payment has been made on an order that we are unable to fulfil we will immediately refund you by the same method you paid. 


Delivery

UK 
We aim to deliver all orders within 2-5 working days.  All orders are sent by our approved courier - Royal Mail, UPS or My Hermes. In some occasions other approved delivery services may be used.Orders can be sent out Royal Mail Special delivery for customers wishing to pay a premium. This will ensure that your order will be treated as a priority& received the day following dispatch. This service can be selected at the time of placing order. Essence-Boutique cannot be held responsible if you supply the wrong delivery address or you are no one is in to receive the item when delivered. It will be the customers’ responsibility to collect the item from your local depot, however we will do our best to assist with re-delivery where possible.


On the day of dispatch you will be sent an email telling you the goods have been despatched. If an item is out of stock we will contact you to let you know the situation and where possible give you an indication of when your products will be available, however we only aim to have products available on our website, when they are in stock.


VAT & Duty

The prices shown will be inclusive of VAT (where and when applicable). If you live outside the EU you are responsible for any local taxes & duties charged in your country. There are no local taxes or duties (other than VAT) in the EU. 


Damaged or Defective goods

We aim to supply top quality goods (ie free from defects in materials and workmanship). You should inspect the goods when you receive them for defects and damage. Notify us as soon as possible if there are any problems. Damages and shortages must be notified within 14 working days of purchase. Please retain all documents and packaging. You are entitled to reject the goods and receive a full refund, or have the faulty goods replaced.This excludes damaged packaging. At Essence-Boutique we want you to be happy with your products. We are therefore always happy and willing to give help and advice. 


Non Delivery

Most of our products dispatched will be received within the designated timescale, explained in our delivery and returns page. Royal Mail can however take up to 14 days to deliver a product, if you still have not received your item within 14 days, contact us immediately. 


Returning goods/Cancelling your contract – Retail Customers

You have the right to cancel the contract and receive a refund or alternative item, provided that the goods are returned undamaged and complete, together with the relevant packaging in an unused condition. You must inform us by e-mail within 14 working days if you wish to return your goods. Note: The customer will have to pay the postage costs to return the products.

Please note that all returns require a pre authorisation code. Pleasecontact returns@essence-boutique.comfor your return merchandise authorisation. You must return the goods to us at your cost and we advise you to insure the goods adequately, using a signed for delivery service. If returned products are lost we will not be liable for them. We will refund the total amount of money paid by you for the goods, less any postage costs occurred by Essence Boutique, within 30 days from the day on which we receive your notice of cancellation by e-mail (but usually much quicker than that). Refunds for returned goods will be made via the same method of payment as used to place the order. Make sure you include these details with your return: Your name, daytime telephone number, order number, returns authorisation code and the reason for the return.


Business Customers

Wholesale/re-seller customers must contact us before returning goods. The Distance Selling Regulations do not apply to Business Customers – but our no quibble guarantee does. Goods cannot be returned after 30 days from delivery under any circumstances. If you are a business or if the goods are used wholly or in part for business purposes we will not be liable to you for any business loss including loss of profits (whether direct or indirect), business data, revenue, goodwill, or incidental, or consequential loss that you may suffer as a result of the purchase of goods from us. Any other liability will be limited to the price paid for the goods.
